The ICRS Board are pleased to announce the launch of a refreshed mission and new strategic direction for the Institute and its members

Over the last year, the Board has undertaken a review of its mission, offering and strategy. The CR&S Landscape has shifted significantly since the ICRS launched in 2014 with the practice of CR&S becoming more mature, and a boom in the sector and drive for professionals across all industries. Through a market analysis, benchmarking exercise, and member consultation, we gained valuable insights from you on what supports you to be brilliant at CR&S and what you want to see in the future.

With the ever-evolving landscape for our community, what you’re looking for is resources and knowledge content on foundational topics and emerging trends so you can stay up to date. We're pleased then to update our mission to reflect these needs.

What our Members say

The ICRS has played an important role in helping me to grow and develop in my career as a sustainability profession. Through it I have met incredible mentors and mentees who have both challenged and inspired me. It has been a constant in my career during times of flux and self-reflection and has helped to confirm my commitment to working in this space. With ever more pressure and expectation on CR&S professionals, the network and support that the likes of ICRS offers has never been more needed.

Elisabeth Rochford FICRS, Head of Social Equity, Value & Impact, Virgin Media O2

The sustainability market is booming and the ICRS is keeping pace. The inestimable value of insight, knowledge-sharing and networks is what gives ICRS members the edge and this is reinforced in the new approach. In a busy market, a professional body must seize the agenda for its members and it is great to see ICRS delivering just that.

Matt Sparkes FICRS, Sustainability Director, Linklaters LLP

ICRS plays a critical role in championing the interests of those working in environmental and social impact roles. As someone who’s spent over 15 years of my career in this work, I’m excited that the ICRS is developing pathways to support those into the profession and recognise the skills and achievements of those who are building a better world.
