1. How did you get into CR&S, and why did you choose this profession?
I worked within economic development in the public sector for over 15 years and was fortunate enough to be funded for Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Development. I studied geography at university and have always been interested in the effect of progress on people on and communities.
2. What makes your sector unique from a CRS perspective?
I work for a global engineering design consultancy where there is opportunity to design in sustainability and involve stakeholders in the process.
3. What do you need to do your job brilliantly?
Ability to communicate well, be positive even when you don’t feel like being so, and support of colleagues.
4. What are the most essential skills for working in CRS?
Being able to see commercial and business opportunities within CRS that reflect your organisation and clients.
5. What advice would you give to others on getting into CR&S?
Have fun, try to get training and insight into all areas of sustainability.
