ICRS Fellows Hub: Authentic Resilience for Sustainability Leaders

ICRS Fellows Hub: Authentic Resilience for Sustainability Leaders

“You cannot bear fruit all year round… we all need tools to energise, stay well and thrive.”

Authentic Resilience for Sustainability Leaders

Sarah Flynn, co-author of the book Climate Change Coaching, ran an exclusive session for our ICRS Fellows on how to build authentic resilience to sustain you and your wellbeing as you do your crucial work in the world.

Fellows discussed:

  • What authentic resilience looks like for sustainability leaders
  • Models of resilience, tools to energise, stay well and thrive.
  • Co-creating resilience strategies, what changes can be committed to today.

Sarah encouraged Fellows to consider:

  • What resilience means to you and how resilience is modelled at work?
  • Personal why and purpose – what drives you to do the work you do? What do you need to stay well as you do this work?
  • What boosts and drains your energy reserves?

Sarah left Fellows with tools and actions to support a resilience plan, which included discussing:

  • What have you learned about your resilience today?
  • What will you do to support your resilience going forwards?
  • What resources and people can you draw upon to help you achieve this?
  • How can you be of support to each other?
