The Responsible Media Forum’s Mirrors or Movers Conference, 30th September 2026
The RMF are looking forward to welcoming attendees to Mirrors or Movers, taking place on 30 September 2026 at Pearson, 80 Strand, London. Our annual conference brings together leaders from across media, sustainability, technology, and academia to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping our sector. Register now for your in-person or virtual ticket!
This year's theme, "Accountable Innovation: Aligning AI, Sustainability, and Public Trust," examines how the rapid adoption of AI is transforming the media landscape and what this means for trust, accountability, and sustainable business practices. Highlights include:
  • Nic Newman, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, who will be kicking off the afternoon to speak about how AI is transforming the media landscape, from misinformation and platform power to the future of trusted journalism.
  • Ben Page, Former CEO of Ipsos, will explore how trust in media is evolving in the age of AI, drawing on insight into public attitudes, disinformation and societal change.
  • A panel discussion on human rights and AI, with Sonia Livingstone, LSE, Greg Childs, The Children’s Media Foundation and Marsha Jackson, The Conscious Advertising Network, exploring how organisations can innovate while embedding human rights protections into AI-enabled products and services.
  • A panel on the environmental impact of AI, featuring Emily Jackson, The Economist and Alex d’Albertanson, AdNetZero, focusing on emerging approaches to understanding the emissions impact of the use of AI in media, and how they could be limited or reduced.
  • A panel exploring how AI is being used across different media formats with Marc Ceislak, BBC News and Ludwig Siegele, The Economist and Amanda Stanhaus, Pearson.
