Science Based Targets – benefits and pitfalls

This webinar is aimed at companies considering making a commitment to Science Based Targets

In this webinar we aim to explain what a Science Based Target is in simple terms, why they’re gaining momentum, the benefits of having one, and some of the pitfalls to watch out for along the sign-off process. Whether you want your emissions targets to be approved as Science Based or not, following the SBT standard will mean your targets are robust and in line with best practice.

The Webinar will be hosted by Julie Pike, who is part of the ICRS Secretariat team and has been working in and around climate change for the past 15 years. Our speakers for the session will be Glynn Roberts and Joss Tantram.

Glynn is a Director at Carnstone Partners Ltd, a consultancy specialising in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, and has worked with a range of companies supporting them to develop their carbon emissions targets in line with the Science Based Targets.

Joss is a founding partner at Terrafiniti LLP, a pioneering sustainability and systems consultancy. He is the author of a wide range of practical guidance for sustainability professionals as well as the "Towards 9 Billion" book series – presenting big, playful, hopeful ideas for a sustainable, equitable future.
